After the 1980s, a new trend of self-developed heat transfer technology appeared in China, and a large number of enhanced heat transfer elements were put into the market. During the climax of domestic heat transfer technology, the representative masterpieces were baffle rod heat exchanger, new structure efficient heat exchanger, efficient reboiler, efficient condenser, double shell side heat exchanger, plate and shell heat exchanger, surface evaporative air cooler and so on The device.

After entering the 21st century, a large number of enhanced heat transfer technologies have been applied to industrial devices. The technology level of heat exchanger industry in China has been improved rapidly, and the plate heat exchanger is rising day by day. For example, the plate heat exchanger of Lanshi heat exchange equipment company has successfully entered the field of conventional island and nuclear island of domestic nuclear power construction projects, and has successively used plate heat exchanger in large ethylene project, titanium dioxide production line and other fields. Siping Juyuan Hanyang plate heat exchanger company has successfully entered the conventional island and nuclear island field of Daya Bay phase II Ling'ao nuclear power station.

In recent years, great breakthroughs have been made in large-scale shell and tube heat exchanger, large diameter thread locking ring high-pressure heat exchanger, high-efficiency energy-saving plate and shell heat exchanger and large-scale plate air preheater.

In August 2008, Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd., China first heavy machinery company, Lanzhou Petroleum Machinery Research Institute and Zhenhai Refining and chemical company jointly undertook the development of large-scale shell and tube heat exchanger in Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd., with China first heavy machinery company, Lanzhou Petroleum Machinery Research Institute, and Zhenhai Refining and chemical company. The localization of large-scale shell and tube heat exchanger for EO / EG unit passed the technical appraisal, marking a major breakthrough in the field of large-scale shell and tube heat exchanger in China. The heat exchanger is the first super large shell and tube heat exchanger with heat exchange area over 10000m2 being manufactured in China.

In April 2009, Sinopec organized experts to appraise the scientific and technological achievements of the project "tackling key problems in localization of large diameter thread locking ring high pressure heat exchanger". The project is based on the 3.2 million T / a hydrotreating unit in the 10 million ton oil refining project of Sinopec Qingdao refining and Chemical Co., Ltd., and jointly undertaken by Sinopec engineering construction company, Sinopec Qingdao refining and Chemical Co., Ltd., Lanzhou Lanshi Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., and Fushun machinery and equipment manufacturing Co., Ltd. The localization of the heat exchanger indicates that our country has the ability to design and manufacture thread locking ring high-pressure heat exchanger below DN2000, greatly reducing the construction cost of petrochemical engineering, saving 14 million yuan of procurement funds per unit, shortening the delivery time and breaking the monopoly position of foreign companies.
